Our Aim - quite simply, is to provide the perfect place to unwind and forget the stresses of everyday life. Can you join us? Abergwynant Cottages - At a glance:
Welcome and congratulations on finding Abergwynant, a small country estate stunningly set in one of the most dramatic, yet peaceful locations in Snowdonia, with direct access to the Mawddach Trail. Set in 70 secluded acres of woodland and gardens in the verdant valley of the river Gwynant, which tumbles down from Cader Idris mountain to the wide waters of the spectacular Mawddach Estuary. Our delightful holiday cottages face onto a cobbled courtyard and have been sympathetically converted from a row of lovely 300 year old stables, whilst Butlers is a five star self contained wing of the Hall, built in 1830. There's a walled Victorian garden and orchard for catching the sun - plenty of room for guests to spread out, children to let off steam - the microclimate on the estuary is superb, with mild winters and warm summers. Dog owning guests are well catered for, as there is direct access to the quiet footpaths in Abergwynant Woods, with terrific views down the estuary. Abergwynant was described as 'an artists paradise' in old sales particulars from 1916. Still absolutely true today. Clean air, no light pollution, tranquil, captivating.
